The Queen’s Chronicles – Wrapping up June

Even though the calendar was all filled out and ready for me, I failed to really grasp how busy our June would really be.  Besides feeling like a very under paid uber driver, we survived and had some fun along the way!  The Queen’s Chronicles is my way of documenting our lives so know there will always be some pictures but they may also always be straight off the iPhone and not always the best quality!  Promise the smiles behind them are crystal clear as I wrap up June!

I shared previously our lazy river weekend followed by a weekend in San Antonio.  Thankfully the rest of the month we were able to wake up in our own beds on Saturday morning even if it may have been bright and early.

Carly Jo decided she wanted to try competition dance this year but she has some catching up to do and needs to log 50 hours of dance over the summer.  Each week she has created her calendar for me and kept a running total of her weekly and month hours without me having to ask.  She’s super excited to be halfway to her required hours.  The biggest accomplishment has been the speed at which we can create a ballet bun!

Haircuts for both Carly Jo and Dillon but we had to laugh because the after picture doesn’t really show how much better taking a little off made her hair look.

We celebrated this guy but these 3 were not the most cooperative for a picture!

Carly and I headed to my home town to take my Mamaw to the doctor and shopping for makeup.  Sure hope I still care about fixing my face when I’m 90!

Dillon had a baseball tryout in Waco and I dropped him at Baylor and headed over to Magnolia to stroll around a bit.  This was seriously the best popsicle I think I’ve ever had.

I loved this sign I found down the street from the silos at The Findery.  This is the kind of peace I find when I let God take over.

Dillon played in two 7 on 7 tournaments and weekly league play and the season is now officially over.

One brunch date with this one to catch up on her busy life!  Her two roommates run a gym and this summer they needed a little help with childcare on Saturday mornings and she has been filling in.  I have been cracking up because much like her momma, other peoples little kids are not always the easiest for us.

We were excited to have Riley home for a couple of days!  He and Dillon were able to head for an afternoon of fishing and obviously had some success.

We headed to the orthodontist to have Cary evaluated and she is excited to know in September she will have a new look.

We did find out she only has one wisdom tooth!  Isn’t that crazy?  Her dad only had two so I’m assuming this came from his side of the family.

Dillon and I volunteered at our local foodbank with our Young Mens Service League group.

I love when I have time with him alone.  It doesn’t happen very often and it’s just been such a challenging year for the two of us.  I know this to shall pass but in the midst of it all my mom feelings are having to toughen up a bit.

This boy was off again a few days later and always leaves my heart laughing.  He is so crazy and constantly taking snapchats of me that I sometimes do not know he is taking.  He (and his friends) evidently think this is hilarious.  It’s a good thing I’ve learned to laugh at myself a little.

See what I mean!  Y’all, I promise I did not drink an entire bottle of vodka!

Dillon was whipped on Thursday evening and chose to sleep instead of eat dinner so it was a date night with the parentals for this little missy.  It’s kind of hard to believe in just 4 years she will be the only one at home.

We ended the month playing baseball in Georgetown, Texas which was the 3rd tourney of the month. It’s a good thing we like sports around here.

That’s a wrap until next year; bye-bye June!
