Practical Prime Finds – June

I don’t know about you, but my purchases in the last several months have looked a little different. I’ts been a little random but somewhat filled with more practical prime finds. Tanya is back with her prime purchases monthly linkup so it is the perfect time for me to share!

Practical Prime Finds - Graduation Gift

When I started working on graduation gifts for the 2020 seniors, I added this book to the list. It is such a great book on leadership and one I wish I had read at their age. Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. He shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life. Make Your Bed is may have also been added to my kindle because even I could use a refresher!

So I ran across this Museum Gel as a top purchase ever and was intrigued. If little things don’t irk you this might not be for you but if you are irritated every time you open a drawer and your organizing trays are once again sliding in the drawer instead of staying in place you will love this stuff! I dot on the bottom of each side has kept my trays from sliding and made me so happy! #itsthelittlethings

Nothing is more gross than a dishrag that has somehow found it’s way to the bottom of a sink of dirty dishes. I have been using this rag for several months and it has been amazing. It dries quickly with no smell and every time I run the dishwasher I just toss it in for a cleaning.

Another little irk for me is the cord for my computer constantly falling back behind my desk. These little magnetic clips have made such a difference. The magnet holds the cord in place but if I need to take the charger with me I still can.

Prime Finds GAmes

Okay, so maybe not super practical but Tenzi is a game that everyone in the family can play. We like to play games but we don’t like to have to think too hard typically. We need something quick and fun without evoking extreme competitive vibes. Want to see a game night go wrong at our house, let Riley lose at Monopoly.

I was ready to try a different arrangement in my closet for my jeans and dress pants and ordered these hangers. They are super slim and the grip is really good. So far I’m loving them.

Practical Prime Finds - Thank you Notes

With graduation gifts rolling in we also needed some thank you notes. I grabbed these plain ones for Dillon to use because I felt like they were a little more “manly” but I love the set I grabbed for myself to use from Amazon. I’ve been trying to send more snail mail and you can always find a reason to send a thank you to someone!

And just for fun I ordered this triple barrel curling iron for Carly and I to try. It gives a little bit of a crimped or beach wave look. It’s been fun to use on a day when I have let my hair air dry and just need to give a little extra wave.

All this time at home working on my laptop at the kitchen table made me realize just how gross the keys can get. I love to keep a can of canned air handy to keep the dust (and let’s be honest…crumbs from my snacks) off the crevices in the computer.

Lastly, if you are ready for summer tank tops and dresses and hate a strapless bra, this is my favorite option. I’ve tried other brands, but the Nubra definitely stays put the best and stays sticky the longest.

So, has your online shopping changed a bit the last few months? I’ve definitely seen a shift from purchasing items to wear to items that do some work for me!
