In Texas the winters are typically mild but in a given day the temp can start in the 30’s and rise to the high 60’s or sometimes 70’s and then dip back down at night so layers are a must. I have added a few new items to my closet this fall in anticipation of those chilly days and I have actually already had a chance to wear them several times as we had some unseasonably chilly days in November.
I found these outfits on Pinterest when I searched for layers and I really liked the way they pulled these outfits together.

Here are a few ways I would pull layers together to make it through a typical Texas winter day!
I’m pretty sure I’ve already been clear on my love for leggings this time of year. I truly would wear them every day if it were acceptable. This look is comfy and effortless to pull together.

I have had this red jacket for probably at least 3 years and never once have I considered this combo. I’m totally going to be wearing this jacket with this plaid shirt one day this week.

The blanket scarf is everywhere and I have to say I’m a fan. It did seem a bit overwhelming at first but once I figured it out a bit I have come to look for opportunities to wear it. I found this coat on sale at Old Navy and had to have it as it is the perfect weight for Texas winters!
How do you use layers to get through the seasonal weather where you live?
