Insta-Style – Mad About Plaid
I’m telling you guys as much as I love having my body get caught back up on sleep, daylight savings time has definitely put a damper on finding time to take outfit pictures. Right now it is too dark before work and too dark when I arrive home from work so things have been a bit tricky. I thought this week I would bring you a little Insta-style from a weeks worth of style challenges all centered around plaid.
{Buffalo Plaid and Polka Dots}
First up was Buffalo Plaid and Polka Dots. Hmm..I did not think this was something I had available but took a look through my closet and was thrilled when I pulled this ensemble together. I love this skirt but up until this past year I only wore it exactly as purchased with a black shell and black jacket. It is so much more!

We had dinner out after work and I traded the skirt for my Treasure & Bond boyfriend jeans for a more casual look.

{Colorful Plaid}
Next up was a colorful plaid and I must say this first time combo made me feel happy all day. I love wearing mustard in the fall…it just screams fall to me. Not sure how I missed pairing these two last fall but I’m super excited to find them now.

{Neutral Plaid}
This day called for a neutral plaid but I hit a second challenge with the plaid on plaid option. This is probably my very favorite plaid scarf. I love the colors in my blanket scarf but if I’m being honest the opportunities to wear it are few and far between in Texas. I walked around all day feeling so cute in this outfit until I saw these pictures. While I do think the outfit is a winner, the white jeans just do not flatter my body type.

{Gingham Plaid}
Gingham plaid mixed with a striped scarf and you guys I believe I found a winner! I even hit a third challenge with the leopard print belt.
I truly felt the most like myself and the most comfortable in this outfit. I ordered these Paige denim jeans during the latest Nordstrom sale and I’m super excited about them.
When you feel the most like yourself you are always more apt to “get your SHINE on”. My latest Farmgirl Paints cuff and I love wearing it as a reminder the decision each day is mine and I can choose to shine.

I’m so glad I have stepped out a bit and learned plaid can definitely be combined with other patterns to make an outfit a little more interesting. What is your favorite way to wear plaid?
