Friday Favorites – Target Time

Happy Friday!  It’s definitely one of those Fridays where my brain is swirling with all the things I need to do today mixed in with the things I want to do.  Please tell me I’m not the only one who has a tendency to over book what I can handle!  I will definitely be spending a few moments jotting down a list as seeing it all on paper typically helps me feel more in control.

Speaking of control, I didn’t have much this week when it came to Target!  I stopped in to pick up some athletes foot medicine for Keith (yes, really that’s all I needed) and next thing I knew I was enjoying coffee and my cart was full!  I don’t have much “free” time to browse Target alone when the store is also nice and quiet and it was such a treat.  Wanna see my favorites?  I knew you would!

Kitchen Towels | Pot Holders | Candle

Yep, I drank the koolaid and headed right into Magnolia land.  Here are a few of the items I grabbed.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the price of these items.  I was really expecting to find items over priced but I felt everything I looked at was reasonable and of good quality.  The candles all smelled great but the Cedar Magnolia was my favorite with Cardamom and Vetiver a close 2nd.  I loved these pillows too but was worried about the green clashing with our new ottoman.  Any of the items I picked up would make fun gifts for girlfriends, coworkers or moms!  If you love Joanna you will love these items for sure!

Animal Print | Cardigan | Lace Top

I also quickly tried on a few things and came home with two of these!  Sweaters are on sale for $15 right now (online only) and this animal print is A-dorable!  The fit is great and it is really soft and I loved the colors.  I ended up leaving it behind only because I have one so similar at home.  Even though in Aggieland this color is kind of taboo, I love this rust colored cardigan and the length and weight were perfect.  It has a cute little collar and I can see it layered with all sorts of things.  If you follow along with me on instagram you will most certainly see this one turn up in some outfits of the day!  And this last sweet thing would be so perfect for the holidays but I will also be dressing down with jeans or up with skirts for work.  Sometimes these lacy tops can be scratchy but this one is like butter!  I am wearing a large in this picture but have ordered a medium as they didn’t have the size in my store.  In case you didn’t know, Target is offering free shipping AND returns through December 23rd!

My friend Holly recently did some major renovations to update her house and one of my favorites is the master bathroom(seriously you wanna see this).  I’ve loved that she added a cute little stool to the decor.  Our master is long and wouldn’t accommodate something like this but after repainting the kids bathroom and adding a new shower curtain I have been on the hunt for something that might work.  I think I found it!  I am LOVING this side table!  It is sturdy and looked adorable and as soon as I am able to get my act together enough to properly decorate the top I’ll give you a peep.  Bonus it was regular $99 but on sale for $55 and online an extra 15% off right now!  I purchased in the store but you can bet I’m returning and ordering with the coupon code!

And since you can buy Starbucks at Target I’ll throw in this picture as it was a favorite this week!  Just in case you don’t know, through the 13th holiday drinks are BOGO at Starbucks from 2-5pm and Carly and I went to check it out.   I am not a sweet coffee drinker and have been really working to cut out my sugar this week so I knew I needed it as simple as possible.  I opted for a skinny gingerbread latte with only a 1/4 pump.  It had just enough spice without all the calories or the super sweet taste.  If you are like me and love the idea of Starbucks but not so much the calories, you can definitely dictate less sugar by asking for a sugar free syrup or reduced pumps and also nonfat or coconut milk.  I typically drink black coffee but am a sucker for some steamed milk!  They actually handed our coffees to us in plain white cups (gasp) and I know the girl thought I was nuts when I pouted over no Christmas cup.  She finally offered to give us some venti sized cups for our tall drinks!

I’m super excited as the finishing touches will be added today to the new built in we had installed in our breakfast area last month and I can’t wait to show off the finished look here!  Plus my college roomie is also coming to town to tour campus with her son and I’m hoping we are going to meet up for lunch. Other than that we have a little baseball mixed in with a little family time!

If you missed the blog this week I shared some things I’m thankful for via this months The Blended Blog asks prompt, had a little photo shoot with my little bit for the Ageless Style linkup and sported some pattern mixing with leopard and stripes!
