Seems like red has been a popular color lately with all the red cup drama so I thought I would make this a somewhat red themed Friday! Here are some of my favorites.
{Red Cups}
A friend posted this on Facebook and I just thought it was so funny. The drama a red cup has produced is just beyond me. My friend Katy wrote this post earlier this week and it is definitely share worthy.
I did have to laugh on Tuesday when the Newk’s delivery showed up and their cups were red AND celebrating the Christmas spirit
{Target Red}

I have been needing a bench at the end of our bed. The new rug I ordered from West Elm showed up this week and I’m thinking about ordering this to be one step closer to finishing my bedroom.
Sherpa blanket and buffalo plaid together? Yes please! These would make excellent Christmas gifts. I’m pretty sure Santa will make sure I have one waiting for me on Christmas morning.
Carly’s school held a Veteran’s Day program that was so moving. The color guard was present, a master trumpeter played Taps and so many veterans were there to be honored.
Carly has been talking about this performance for weeks and was so excited!
Our music teacher truly is a special soul and does such a fabulous job with the kids.
{The Lady in Red}
The girl in red, aka my friend Katy, talked us into hosting a Swap ‘Til You Drop night and we jumped in! Don’t we all have way too many items in our closet anyway? Read her fun post about that here. Shopping for free AND purging my closet before Christmas? Yes please! We had so much fun and there were definitely some great finds for a few peeps.
{Seeing Red}
I am a hot head. If you have been around here awhile you will know as much as I would like to be a calm, cool, collected human I am known to lose it and sometimes over the stupidest things. I have grown so much in this area over the years and I do have so much more control than I use to. Giving grace to others (and myself) is easy when I keep my heart and mind on God and the grace he gives me every day. It has been fun the past two weeks being intentional about showing an Attitude of Gratitude with my bestie Holly. But for real, one thing that almost always makes me see red is the school drop off line! When a friend shared this video with me this week I was like yes…yes that is it. JUST…PULL…FORWARD!
{Red Hot Sales}
Here are some of my fave picks from the Loft Friendsgiving sale. Use the code SHAREIT for 40% off everything. I’m really digging the curvy curduroys which come in lots of colors and are also available in petite and tall. I’ve totally been into dresses lately too and they have some great choices like this cute burgundy and grey stripe or grey and black mixed media that would look fabulous with leggings and boots or booties like these. I dressed up a {floral dress 4 ways}earlier this week and I think this floral dress would be a fun choice for fall and winter. And this coat....oh my goodness this coat is so adorable and could be dressed up or down. Another striped sweater for my closet? This one may be a staple I can’t pass up.
Nordstrom is also having the fall clearance and many items are marked down 40% but they are also price matching on so many things right now. Here are a few of the things I’ve purchased in the past during the anniversary sale that are now on sale again. Every so often I love to invest in “designer” jeans and I actually have the Paige jeans and the Hudson jeans currently on the sale. This Splendid poncho is definitely a favorite from the sale. It is so soft and cozy! I actually am wearing the Leith waterfall cardigan in a wine color above for our swap night and I am so happy it’s finally cool enough to wear it. The Lucky Brand booties are seriously the pair I have worn the very most since they arrived but I did receive this pair of Vince Camutos this week and am trying to decide if I really “need” them! And these Steve Madden sandalshave been in my cart for probably 6 months and I snagged them once they were marked down. Trust me they are cuter in person! I don’t have or need either of these fringed booties but oh…my…goodness I love these here and here.
We have a date night planned tonight…hmmm…maybe I’ll wear red….and baseball all weekend in Houston. Hoping to get a little tidying up done around the house too. Hope you all have a super weekend!
