All Things Bright

Christmas Fun
Santa’s Wonderland is a venue in College Station which has been around for about 10 years and continues to grow.  This year my kids did not seem to have much interest so we didn’t make an attempt to go before Christmas.

The morning of December 29th, however, this girl asks “mom, do you think we could go to Santa’s Wonderland tonight”.  I really wasn’t that crazy about the idea and I had 1001 other things I needed wanted to do but I looked at that sweet face and decided this was something we needed to do together!  This was the last picture I took with my iPhone and it died…she had my total attention!

The fake snow was blowing away as we walked in.

And y’all….this picture makes me smile!  My sweet girl and the Texas flag…yes!
We grabbed hot chocolate and kettle corn of course and headed for the hay ride.

The hayride is much longer than it use to be and the temperature was perfect.  Just cold enough but not so cold you couldn’t feel your face!

When we returned we sat by the fire for a bit and listened to some live music.
Browsed the little shops and took some pictures with the props.
Carly asked if we could ride the hayride one more time and who was I to argue.
Moments like this you guys….this is what it’s all about!  These pictures bring sweet tears because I know how fast these sweet days will pass.  It’s only a matter of time and she will not be in awe of all things bright!
She will not be willing to hold my hand and share kettle corn on a hayride!
But this night y’all……
this night was the best!
I am all to guilty of failing to make time for the little things every day.  Having my “Bigs” reminds me often how fast it will all go and those memories help me to slow down enough to enjoy these sweet moments.  I hope I will make more time in 2016 to soak it up.
See where I may be linking up today here.
