Let’s Talk – Fall Favorites
When someone asks me what may favorite season is I often hesitate and over think the question. There is something I love about every season but when it really comes around to it fall rises to the top as a favorite. Fall holds so many memories of family and friendships, football, pumpkin everything and of course my very own birthday! Even as back to school means we are a little busier, there is something calming about the fall for me. I knew when I saw Fall Favorites as one of the items on the Let’s Talk series hosted by Andrea and Erika, I would have no trouble sharing my favorites!
I love to Bring on the Fall by adding colorful touches to my home. Fall decor just feels so warm and welcoming and it’s my favorite. I also incorporate a few Boo-tiful touches once Halloween approaches.
Etsy Shop Twine and Cotton Market
While I love the idea of a cinnamon smell, it always leaves me with a headache so I have to be super careful to not choose something overwhelming. Last year Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Pecan Waffle was my favorite! This year I’ve ordered several candles to try from Twine and Cotton Market created by the lovely Astleigh of the Hill Collection Blog. The names are all so fun! I ordered Spiced Lattes and Scarves along with Flannel Vest and can hardly wait for them to arrive!
Yes, all these patterns can be worn all year, but in the fall pulling out warm plaids, leopard and fall floral patterns just makes me super excited. I love how fun it can be to experiment with pattern mixing.

Give me ALL the layers for fall! I can hardly wait to pull out fall colors, patterns and layers. Scarves are always one of the first layers I add for a little change to my otherwise ho-hum outfits. We will have some cool mornings but afternoons can still be warm in Texas so adding vests and lightweight jackets work so well. The J. Crew puffer vest I purchased last year in green was so perfect but can be pricey. I noticed J. Crew Factory has tons of new colors this year and all have been on sale recently. I did grab a field jacket in maroon on super sale from J. Crew last spring and I can hardly wait to pull it out this fall.
Five out of the six in our family celebrate birthdays in the fall! Add to that Keiths’ mom and dad and we have quite the party all season long. I always look forward to this time because it means I am able to see all my babies together at one time on multiple occasions!

All things pumpkin! Pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving, we even expanded our horizons and found a corn maze last fall!
