Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  I don’t know about you but I am so ready for the weekend.  It has been one of those weeks where it’s been hard to catch my breath.  The weekend is going to be a busy one as we head just a short drive away this evening and tomorrow for Dillon’s last baseball tourney of the season and then rush to pack both kids up and head to camp on Sunday.  Next week I am definitely looking forward to only being responsible for me!

Well, I shopped the Nordstrom sale both in person and on line.  While everyone else seems to have been receiving packages at lightning speed I still have yet to receive my online purchases from July 14th.  If you shopped early access on the first day, you know there were major computer issues.  I finally sent a chat this morning to ask about the order because I’m worried (not like life altering worried) my order may have just gotten caught in limbo.  So while I really hoped to show you guys some “real” live pictures of things I purchased, you will have to settle for the things I loved in the store!

Dress|Cardigan

First day of the sale and the Halogen cardigan was only available in navy or black in my size.  I actually purchased in black with this same dress pictured but in a maroon shade but I have also ordered the sweater in grey.  It is super duper soft and I really do think I’m going to love the longer cardigan.  This “body-con” dress is also super soft but I felt thick enough to hide some imperfections.  It is definitely a piece that can be dressed up for work or down with converse.

Peplum Jacket

This little shirt jacket is just so cute.  It is lightweight and soft but it does run really big I felt.  I bought the medium but ended up returning and ordered it in a small to try in the burgundy color.  Y’all, I have really long arms and there was no way I could have worn the sleeves unrolled.  I’m considering ordering in a petite just to see the difference.  So, so cute though and I can see this being a year round option in Texas due to the weight.

Black Jeans|Layering Top

My closet is missing a great pair of black jeans.  At least I think it is!  I have ordered this pair to try but in the mean time grabbed the pair I’m wearing in this picture which are amazing but definitely a splurge.  If I’m going to splurge I will typically do it on a great pair of jeans or shoes because both I know I will get every dollar out of.  The hem on these was jagged which gave them a little something extra.  I showed this layering top on Tuesday and I still love it.  It is a nice weight and super soft but I did size up to a large.  I’m really sad I can’t find this sweater online for you guys!  It is super soft and I loved that it had a drawstring closer to create a little cinch at the waist.  It is so, so soft too!

I try to grab a Natori bra during the sale every year or sometimes during the year as they are marked down.  I really love the fit and the fabric.  I grabbed this exact one and have already been wearing!

I also loved this Chelsea 28 top and initially it came home with me.  After giving it some thought and realizing it was really similar to a recent purchase, I returned.  Loved the fit though and think it would be so fun to dress up for work or a holiday party but equally as fun for a date night.

And, y’all, these booties are so cute but I’m still debating whether or not to keep.  They are a slightly different color than a pair I have but so, so close.  I’m trying to find some girl math to justify them!  Oh..and excuse the fact that momma is in desperate need of a pedi!  I really am not sure I am going to be able to part with them as they are as comfy as they are cute!

Overall I really think this will add up to be the year I saved the most…..because I actually think I will keep way less!
